We decided to dedicate the first PSM Experience to lighting in the house. We've been interested in this topic lately, it's interesting to try to interact with different textures and arrangements of light to create something unusual. We invite everyone to experiment at home—we think light is often taken for granted. But if you pay attention to it, it can help to open up a familiar space in a new way. Experiments can be in absolutely any format: photos, videos, text concepts, stories etc.

A couple of months ago we moved into our new flat, and for the first time in my life, I have my own home office. it's a true game-changer—I could write endlessly about it and and I realize now how much I’ve been missing similar kind of workspace all my life. Virginia Woolf was 100% right: A person must have a MacBook Pro and a room of their own if they are to do design work

when it comes to the interior design, the space is still very raw—just the simplest IKEA desk and chair. there’s plenty of enjoyable work ahead on this matter

the entire flat occupies the attic floor and the light of these three spotlights gently glides along the roof and illuminates the chaos on the desk. the ceiling track was installed by Oleg Shkryabin in what was, at the time, his own home office in 2023—great job, Oleg 🤍

+ great home office

As part of the experimentation, I thought I would like to dim the lamp hanging on the wall a bit. I had sheets of tracing paper at hand and they gave the light a cool texture. Of course, the camera doesn’t translate well how it looks in reality—in fact, there are no such clear boundaries of the light. But I like the idea.
